EXCELLENT Based on 1972 reviews Posted on Heather RVerified A wonderful week of relaxing, adventure, and learning! This was such an incredible trip! I loved visiting these islands, and getting to witness the culture of these kind and welcoming people. There’s was a perfect balance of relaxing in adventure and I was able to experience things. I’ve never experienced before! The snorkeling was unlike any I’ve ever done and we saw so many amazing sea creatures and sights. Our guide Noa was knowledgeable and fun and I’m so thankful for the memories I made this past week!! The food was also fresh and healthy and delicious! Many of the days we ate what was caught in the ocean by our crew! Incredible!Posted on Tom LVerified Had a San Blas(t) So much fun and the best 5 days. Couldn’t fault the trip at any point. The crew, the food, the guides, the islands, the water. 10/10. Special shout out to Jade for being the host with the most! Recommend to anyone thinking about doing it :))Posted on MarthanifhlaVerified Colombia to Panama Exploring the beautiful islands of San Blas was a unique and memorable experience. We got to visit a variety of islands, learn about the rich and interesting Kuna culture and hang out with a fantastic group of like-minded individuals. There were some really good positives about the trip:- The facilities were a lot more comfortable and less basic than I expected them to be, with beds most nights (with the exception of one night in hammocks) and access to showers, toilets with running water and electricity. - We had some incredible meals, particularly a lobster and ceviche dinner on our final night, and fresh fruit platters at breakfast. - We got to learn lots of interesting information about the Kuna community from our Kuna guide who answered all our questions well. It was so interesting to see their communities, how they live and we also learned a traditional Kuna dance.- There was plenty of time to chill on the islands, swim, snorkel, read in a hammock, play beach volleyball and play card games. We also really enjoyed karaoke on the first night.- We saw lots of cute dogs and one island even had piglets!- The group really made this trip what it was and it was so fun getting to know everyone over the few days. There were some negatives which impacted the price to quality ratio, in my opinion. The trip was almost 700 USD including the transfer to Panama City, so it definitely isn't cheap.- When coming from Colombia, you have to do a long travel day to Necocli and stay there that night. The next morning, we were told to get a ferry at 6am to Capurgana where a guide should have greeted us. We arrived at 8am after getting completely drenched on the boat due to heavy rain but our guides weren't there until 10am. This meant we were left standing cold and wet for 2 hours without a reason for the delay which started the trip off negatively. - Going from Capurgana to Sapzurro felt like a bit of a waste of a day as we didn't cross into Panama until the following day, despite it being nearby and having nearly a full day in Sapzurro. This meant we didn't get to our first island until 2pm on day 2, after 2 full travel days. It would have been ideal to do the Panama crossing after getting to Sapzurro to ensure we could get to the islands early the next day, given how long immigration takes (2-3 hours).- While some meals were incredible, the vegetarian options were lacking most nights. Two nights in a row, the option was an overcooked vegetarian pattie. Fish/seafood wasn't an option during the first few days which was a bit disappointing given we were on the islands and I had seen in the reviews about the abundance of seafood that is normally served. - There were some organisational issues throughout the trip with some unprofessionalism (miscommunication, islands changing last minute, regular issues with boat engine, volunteers complaining about the trip) which impacted the overall experience. - Prior to the trip, the information shared was inconsistent and contradictory e.g., one doc saying to get to the ferry port at 7am, others saying 6am with minimal clarity from guide when asked. Wordy documents meant that some people missed key info about needing passport copies and cash. It would be helpful if information could be condensed.Given the cost, I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the trip at times but I still had a really fun and enjoyable time! It's worth bearing in mind if coming from Colombia whether you feel it's worth the money when 2.5 days are spent travelling and not on the islands.Posted on jonathan rVerified Great beach getaway adventure Went with Noa, Jessie as the guides and Elegio as the main kuna guide. They were so awesome! The trip is a great time! Beautiful beaches and the Kuna people are so amazing! I highly recommend the tripPosted on GlenVerified Best relaxing vacation ever Our 5 day, 4 night adventure with San Blas Adventures was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a different world, one where time slows down, worries disappear, and life becomes beautifully simple. Being off the grid was incredibly refreshing. No cell service, no noise, just turquoise water, white sand, and meaningful connection with the people around us. It was one of the most genuinely disconnecting experiences we’ve had in the best possible way.Our guides, Noa and Eligio, were absolutely incredible. Their knowledge of the islands, the ocean, and the Kuna culture made the experience feel authentic and deeply special. They were kind, attentive, fun, and made sure every single person felt taken care of. You could tell they truly love what they do, and that passion elevated the entire trip. The snorkeling was unreal. Crystal clear water, vibrant coral, and an abundance of colorful fish made every snorkel session feel like swimming through an aquarium. It exceeded expectations and quickly became one of the highlights of the trip.If you’re looking for adventure, peace, raw beauty, and a true escape from modern life, this is it. We had an amazing time and will be talking about this experience for years to come. Highly, highly recommend.Posted on mathilde kVerified San blas adventures Great places, food and guides ( both Jade and the local Kunas)!! Had a great time 🥰 Tank you so muchPosted on joe cuthbertTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had the BEST time in the san blas island adventure tour. Victoria was amazing guide and Diego was the man! They both made the trip incredibly special. The Same with the kuna captains and guides. The food was INSANELY GOOD. The islands and culture are so beautiful. 100/10Posted on Edward JamesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Victoria was amazing! The trip was so much fun.Posted on Joachim RooseTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great crew, good food, but be prepared for a long journey at the start (Colombia to Panama route) and weather risks. We spent only three full days on the islands. Expensive, considering travel time vs island time. I expected more due to the number of 5 star reviews. Improvements to the itinerary seem possible. We recently took the trip from Colombia to Panama. Unfortunately, we had bad luck with the weather; mostly grey skies and sometimes rain, which took away some of the "tropical paradise" charm. The Itinerary: It’s important to know that the first 2.5 days are mostly spent on transport, waiting, and lugging bags around. We only had about 3 full days on the islands (3 x 24 hours). Due to delays at immigration, we also had to skip one of the snorkeling spots, which was a bummer as we expected more time in the water. We had only one guided snorkeling tour and one other snorkeling spot (after asking if there was a possibility). The Positives: Despite the logistics and weather, our guides (Thomas, Gilles, and Paula) were great. They kept the energy high and took great care of us. Also, the food was very good throughout the trip! The Price: The total price is pretty high, about 700 USD, taking into account additional costs coming from Cartagena (bus, accommodation, boat) and getting to Panama City afterwards (Jeep). Improvements possible: Less time in Capurganá and Sapzurro (don't sleep at Sapzurro and move through immigration the same day), and more snorkeling opportunities. Verdict: The trip is quite expensive, especially considering the amount of travel time versus island time. If you go, hope for sun and be prepared for a lot of transit in the first half.Posted on Martha NĂ FhlathartaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If I were to summarise this trip, I would say that it was fun but it felt overpriced for what it was. We did the Colombia to Panama route and we expected more given the high number of 5 star reviews on Google. Please consider this before parting ways with your money. I personally felt that flying to Panama City and doing a day trip to the islands would have provided better value for money. Positives: -Meeting the Kuna people and learning about their culture was extremely interesting. They are an amazing group of people. -The quality of the food was at the level I expected but it's worth noting that vegetarians/pescatarians in the group generally didn't agree with my point of view. -The guides were able to accurately translate information from the Kunas into English (for those who didn't understand Spanish). -The sleeping situation on the islands was good; we only slept in hammocks once. -The islands we visited were nice. -The one guided snorkeling trip we did was fun - we saw a nurse shark and some rays. -We were fortunate enough to see dolphins on our final day. -Traveling in the speed boats was fine given that we didn't have tough weather conditions and/or a rough sea to contend with. Negatives: -The cost is nearly 700 USD per person (once you factor in the 35 USD jeep to Panama City and the 20 USD Kuna island fee). -You have to pay the balance (500 USD per person) in cash. The company are clear about this from the outset - but it feels like using Wise (or a similar bank) to receive payments and then giving the Kuna people USD in cash would be better for all involved. -There is no explanation of where your money goes apart from "it mostly goes to the Kuna people". This is fine in principal, but having a percentage breakdown of where all the money goes might help with understanding why the price for the tour is so high. -Whilst the guides were friendly and kept us briefed about plans for the day, it felt like the tour was a bit unorganised (e.g. only one guided snorkeling excursion, last minute changes to sleeping arrangements, 2 dinners where an overcooked veggie pattie was the option for vegetarians/pescatarians). It feels like the company's business model is to maximise profits by running these tours with volunteers/travelers with a few months of experience, rather than guides with years' of experience guiding tours through the islands. -Some people in the group felt the pre-trip information was too lengthy and was spread across too many documents. This resulted in some people not reading over all of it and having to do some last minute preparation in NecoclĂ (e.g. withdrawing enough pesos to last until we left Colombia, getting photocopies of passports). -We thought that we would hop through more islands each day. Further to this, the first night of the trip was spent in Sapzurro (aka a complete waste of time). It felt like going through Panamanian customs and into the archipelago on the first day would have been a much better use of our time. In reality, we only ended up on the islands in the afternoon of day 2. -On arrival to Capurganá, we had to wait outside the meeting point for nearly two hours due to some form of miscommunication - despite being told to get the 6am boat from NecoclĂ. We got absolutely drenched on this journey, so this resulted in us waiting in cold & wet clothes during this period. I wouldn't expect this from a company with such a good reputation. -The guides only took us snorkeling once, and we only had a second opportunity to do so (without guides) because a couple of customers asked to snorkel. We expected more opportunities to snorkel given where we were; it felt like an afterthought for the guides.Posted on Alice CareyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
